follow up….

So I tried writing everything down in a food journal to track my progress. I don’t think it works for me so well! lol. I got very restrictive with it and concentrated on how many exact calories I was eating…and in turn ended up eating everything in sight around 9pm. Big no no! So my new approach is focusing on healthy foods (naturally low cal) each day. I set myself with a goal each day. Today I am focusing on all natural fruits and some veggies- and am having 200 calorie, low sodium soup for dinner, while setting a goal of 64 oz minimum of water today (with lemon slices inside). So far- going well! I did my cardio this morning 2.25 miles on the treadmill. I should be happy with that, but a few months ago I was doing 6-7 miles no problem. Cold weather is no excuse! I have a wedding dress so get into…..

Fresh Plan

So after my frustration today, and over the past couple of weeks, I decided it would help out to keep a journal of all my calorie intake and calories burned at the gym. I figure it’s easier to stick to a healthy plan when I have myself write everything out, rather than grabbing a handful of cookies. Now that I know I record everything, it will be easier to have some will power! Starts tomorrow… hope this works!!

my monday

So I gained a pound over the weekend, and then decided that Monday (today) I would get back on track with my progress. Until I sat down at my cubicle at work and ate like a pound of Halloween chocolate! Probably like half of a bag throughout my morning. So now I am really really limiting what I am eating the rest of today, then going to the gym this afternoon to try and make up for it. Damn chocolate temptation!
